All four drawings above were done by the same person during the six sessions of my drawing class based on “right brain” principles. I’ve developed my own approach to overcoming those mental obstacles we all have about being able to draw. during the course I methodically present new concepts about breaking the barriers to creative thinking. By interweaving these concepts with practical techniques for drawing, I can nearly guarantee each student will develop his or her ablility to draw more accurately — and with more enjoyment — by the end of each class. My style of teaching is fun, non-judgemental and informative. I put no pressure on any student.

I’ve been teaching this class locally for a number of years to groups of students of all ages (from junior high through retired adults — read testimonials below). At present I am only offering the course in the Denver metro area. Class size is limited to 20. The cost is $100 for 15 hours of class time. Classes generally run from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm once a week for six weeks, but may vary according to students’ needs. Students are required to supply their own 11" x"14 sketchpad, 2 soft lead pencils (2H), eraser, and small sharpener.

If you are interested in taking this course, please email me at martsline@msn.com or call me at 720-530-6936.

Student Testimonials

“I thought I had no ability at all, though my mother and a great aunt were very artistic. Now I know I am artistic too! Worth every minute! Fun, fun, fun! I really look at things differently now. I see more — it’s like a whole new world has opened up!” — Polly Patterson

“I knew I couldn’t possibly draw portraits — my lack of ‘talent’ would definitely show. That has all changed! Now I know I can go as far as I want to with drawing. My only limitation will be the amount of time and energy that I want to put into it. The class and instructor were excellent! I would recommend this course to everybody.” – Cathy Day

“This class has inspired me so much! I’ve gotten back to what I enjoy, and it’s allowed me to see my potential. I see things very differently now, and I feel differently, not only in my artwork, but in my life. I would recommend this class to anyone!! The drawing is only a tool to illustrate the possibilities and potentials that each of us posess. It’s amazing and needs to be experienced in order to understand its broad implications.” – Joellen Domenico
