So...here we are, my wife Terry and I, working a the Rocky Mountain Pumpkin Ranch.We’d been doing this for about seven years, during the Fall season. She was directing the school tour program while I was doing the advertising and painting 500 pumpkin faces, plus some 1000 small gourds.

Then Dave, the owner, shows me some dried hard shell gourds and tells me to do something with them. I saw what other people had done, but I became interested in the natural shape, texture and color of the raw, dried gourd. I really like working with them and I hope you like them too – let me know.
